Artists for Cap Anamur

Artists for Cap Anamur is a non-profit project founded by the Art of Buna gallery in association with the non-profit organization Cap Anamur. Cap Anamur provides humanitarian aid on a global scale but is also well known for rescuing thousands of "boat people", refugees at sea. Artists for Cap Anamur aims to support Cap Anamur's efforts – artists are invited to donate artworks which then become available for sale at exhibitions and events. One-hundred percent of the proceeds go directly to Cap Anamur. The idea is to create a special connection between humanitarian work and art.

My role was to create a website and online shop that would act as a digital catalog of all artworks collected. It also provides an easy way for people to purchase a piece of art while doing their part of sponsoring the non-profit, regardless if they are able to attend an exhibition or not. The shop is organized by medium and artist. Most artworks have a digital image in addition to an image of the piece shown in a room to represent characteristics, such as color and size, as accurately as possible.
